Our MissionTo build quality archery equipment at a reasonable price for people who love bows.
Our BowsEach TygraBow is built by a husband and wife team who both love to build and shoot. We use only the best materials and time proven methods to produce bows that you will enjoy shooting for years to come.
Our StoryWe have been flinging arrows for most of our lives. Starting out with cheap one piece fiberglass bows that had more hand shock than anything else and moving on through wooden recurves, cheap compounds, expensive compounds and finally, due to a wonderful Christmas present, back to recurves. Shooting that Martin takedown hunter after nearly 20 years of compound shooting was a revelation. Where was the bowsite? Where was the heavy bow in my left hand? And, more importantly, where was all that recoil that I had learned to deal with after countless hours of practicing for tournaments and hunting. I knew immediately that this was something that I wouldn't part with anytime soon. Through all the years and all the different bows, the things that stayed constant were our love of shooting and the fact that even from the beginning we always made our own arrows, armguards, sites, stabilizers and other parts that we could manage. The thing that we could never hope to make was the bow itself. With the return to traditional archery that all changed. After reading everything available and several half successful attempts, a decent self bow was made. That bow was fine as far as it went but the performance was lacking. More reading and several lay-up attempts later and we had our first good laminated bow. As the years have passed we have made bows for family and bows for friends. Occasionally. someone at the range would take interest and possibly shoot and buy one. Eventually, we found a pile of new bows that we had made slowly stacking up in the shop with no more family members who needed bows to give them to. Now it was time to sell bows or give up the hobby for good. We sell bows because we love to make and shoot bows. We put the best materials and practices into each and every one that we make. We shoot every bow that we make twice... once before we clear coat it and again after we correct any discrepancies and put the final protective clear coat on it. That way we know that every bow is right before we sell it.
